Foreign workers in agriculture: Are Ukrainian farmers ready to hire people from Bangladesh and Nepal?

Focus on Local Workers and Young People

LNZ Group, which operates in such a labor-intensive sector as berry farming, does not currently view the recruitment of foreign workers as a priority.

As Mykola Chornozub, director of the “Avuar” plant under the Tevitta brand, notes, this is partly due to a lack of practical experience and understanding of all the nuances of such a process. However, if this decision proves to be economically sound and beneficial for the business in the future, they do not rule out the possibility of considering it.

“At the same time, we realize that such a step comes with additional challenges—language barriers, the need for translators, employee adaptation, and more complex administrative processes,” says Mykola Chornozub.
